Puppy Class - All about Socialization

Just got a puppy? or Getting a puppy soon? Start with our 4-week Puppy Class!

We all know early socialization is super important for puppies. But what a lot of people don't know is the QUALITY of socialization is way more important than the quantity! During our 4-week class, you and your pup will learn about proper socialization beyond just puppy play dates. The topics in this class include 'what's a good play and what's too much', 'are play dates all they need?', 'puppy training priorities' etc.

In order to create the best class environment, we start with an application form and a quick chat on the phone. Please follow the link below to start the application process. For other questions, email Sunghee at placidpaws.dt@gmail.com. The class admission is first-come, first-serve.

🐶FAQs

❔Shouldn't I wait until my puppy is fully vaccinated?

- Here is the direct quote from 'American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB)' - "The primary and most important time for puppy socialization is the first three months of life... In general, puppies can start puppy socialization classes as early as 7-8 weeks of age. Puppies should receive a minimum of one set of vaccines at least 7 days prior to the first class and a first deworming. They should be kept up-to-date on vaccines throughout the class" (see the full statement). As a trainer, I know that lots of behavioral problems that are associated with fear and aggression stem from improper socialization during this early stage of the dog's life. I strongly believe that the benefits of early & proper socilaization greatly outweighs the potential health risks. Also, that's why a proof of good health from all students is required in order to make this class as safe as possible for everyone.

❔My dog is little too old to join this class, can I still apply?

- Yes, please! Although this particular class is only for the really young puppies, there is a great chance that we could open a new class with a bit older puppies if there is enough requests. So please contact us, if you'd like to get your puppy trained and socialized!
